China Olympics. What went wrong? What they should have done?

There’s simply too much media attention over this shit that I figured I should give my two cents worth.

When the International Olympics Committee announced that China was going to host the games 8 years ago, the Chinese were not the only ones that went straight to work.

The Dalai Lama and his underlings very likely also started their own little preparation.

Let’s face it, the Chinese were caught with their pants down. They lost, Tibet won. The Chinese were never good with public relations and they still never learn. I would have thought that after so much bashing from the international media over the last few years, for the smallest of things, they would have learned to be a little bit more media savvy!

Israel is dropping precision guided weapons on civilians and the whole world is cheering them on!

With so much money in their reserves, all the Chinese needed to do was to take a little out, hire a spin doctor and make Tibet look evil. If they really wanted more oomph, they could hire a few Tibetans to blow themselves up too!

Look at the Maldives! As long as tourists have the Sun, Sand and Sea, they don’t really give a shit about how the people there really live. Public Relations! That is the key man! A pretty logo, extensive marketing, make your opponents look evil and keep the ugly bits out of sight. It works!

We all know that human rights are a figment of our imagination. You will have your rights when you are the majority.

Are the aborigines in Australia any better than the Tibetans? Remember how their babies were kidnapped? What about the native Indians in America? Do they seriously have rights? They are a minority now. They have the rights of a toilet paper. They are so poor, they don’t even get to leave their town. Out of sight, out of mind, no voice. What’s the difference?

Wait, I know what the Chinese should have done. Instead of helping the Tibetan economy, instead of building a high speed train to Tibet, they should have just used the money to build a wall around it. They will not be the first in recent times to do that anyway. Wall them up, starve them silly such that all they think about is food and not have the energy to make noise.

In other words, hire a PR company to justify the wall, build a wall and all problems are solved. Heck, why not pay a bit more for the ‘justify bomb attacks’ option too!
