Although not unexpected, I really heaved a sigh of relieve when Genting won the IR bid for Sentosa. I mean, we all know the bid by 8th Wonder is crap.

Sports themed? Yeah right! Sports and Singapore should not be used in the same sentence. I mean the only thing about sports that we are good at is to make good sportspersons mediocre.

We find good sports people, give them citizenship, they come over, play a few good games, get married, grow fat and fade away long before their shelf life is due. Sports themed IR, definitely a big no no. We might just end up turning our sports people into hardcore gamblers.

The bid by Kerzner is worse! I was keeping my fingers crossed. Imagine this, we already have two durians. Three joss sticks are coming up soon in Marina. The last thing we need is a pile of tissue paper that glows at night!

I guess they finally got someone intelligent in the decision making panel. Phew!
