They’ve kilt Saddam… aw… that’s sad.

Saddam HusseinToday is a sad day. After 3 decades, Saddam’s tyranny over Iraq is history. For 30 years, he made the news worth watching.

It was Saddam’s antics that made listening to the news bearable. I swear I would have kilt myself a long time ago if news of tax hikes and increased cost of living was not accompanied by news of Saddam’s atrocity.

His war on Iran, killing of Kurds using American chemical weapons, invasion of Kuwait… makes our tax hikes feel like nothing. Sigh… where am I going to find solace when the GST hikes up to 7% now that Saddam is dead?

Earthquake off Taiwan… my blog also down…

My life has been greatly disrupted by the recent earthquake. No google, no BBC, no nothing man! Worse of all, my blog also down until just now.

I was keeping in all the crap that I wanted to blog and now, it is all gone… the magic ain’t there anymore.

I guess they will trickle in over the next few days. Shit.

Gender friendly road signs

Road SignsThe town of Fuenlabrada on the outskirts of Madrid is taking a novel step in the struggle to achieve equality between Spanish men and women.

The local council is changing the town’s traffic signals. Half of the walking, stick figures on signs at pedestrian crossings and the little, green men that flash inside traffic lights are being given skirts… (more)

Uh… yeah right! How is this going to achieve any equality of the sexes? Bet you some feminist group will come out to complain that this is stereotyping women… I mean womyn. Why must girls spot a pony tail and wear a skirt?

If they really are serious about road signs that depict sexual equality, then they should have half of their stick figures spotting dicks and the other half boobs.

Stingray Bak Gua anyone?

Stingray Bak GuaI went to Kuala Lumpur for the weekend. Being the cheapo that I am, I bunked in with my aunt who happened to be there shopping.

Of course, when you freeload, you freeload all the way. So there I was, binging all the tidbit that she bought.
After about 10 minutes of eating what I thought was bak gua, guess what I found out it actually was?

Stingray bak gua! Stingray can make bak gua one meh?

Green and Black… definitely the most Zen looking gelato

GelatoIt was one of those Saturdays. Filled to the brim with food but still not satisfied with just feeling moderately bloated.

Gelato came to mind and since I was in a disgusting mood, I decided to choose my flavour based on how disgusting it will look.

Green tea and black sesame… heh heh… green and black or grey or whatever…

What I ended up with was a very zen looking ice cream instead. Heh.
