With effect from 1 July 2006, if you’ve gotta take a puff in a Singapore coffee shop, you’ll have to look for a DSC.
Yup, that’s what they call it. “Designated Smoking Corner”.
Why CORNER ah? Are they inferring that smokers always go relak one korner?
Make the area sound damn bad so that smokers will quit smoking issit?
If that’s the case, why not call these areas “Cancer Stations”?
Anyway to all you burning tobacco inhalers out there… remember to look for a DSC before sitting down… in a fine city such as ours, you don’t really want to discover the penalty the hard way.
