White nostril hair… signs of aging, I guess.

It is really uncomfortable. Having long nostril hair. I don’t understand how some uncles in the streets get by their day with nostril hairs sticking out like tubifex worms.

I groom my nose. It is really easy. Just stick your thumb and index finger into your nasal cavity in a tweezer like manner and pull… you’ll be surprised at how much hair this technique can dislodge.

So today, while I was going through my regular routine of nasal grooming, I realised some thing unusual with one of my nostril hair. It is white!

Argh! I wonder if Beijing 101 or Yun Nam Haircare have any remedy for white nostril hair…

Dear Georgy, from Ahmadi-Najad with love.

The President of Iran sent a letter to the US President two days ago. It puts across his world views, clearly and fairly. Arguments about Iran’s stand on world issues. Not blatant ramblings, but decent, logical arguments that can be debated.

The US stayed silent for awhile… not commenting at all… If you’ve read the letter, I think you’ll know why. It looks pretty deep. If George Bush read the letter, he would not understand a single bit of it. There’s too much depth in the letter for that puny brain of his to understand.

Then, after two days, the US commented by dismissing the letter as “offering nothing new”.

Well, it certainly offers nothing new, just several pages of pleas for the Bush Regime to justify their realm of terror and opression.

How can Bush reply to such a letter? I don’t think he has any answers. I think deep down inside, he knows he’ll be spending retirement in the furnace below througout eternity.

The recent actions of the Bush administrations really cannot be justified locigally. Unless you use GREED as justification.

The Predicament of a Singapore Voter…

Life is tough in Singapore. It is even more so during the elections. This is the time when you must sit back, think of all the important issues, and then decide who you think should run the country for the next five years… oops sorry, wrong country… first world democracy then lidat one…

Rewind… back to Singapore elections… most people already know who they should vote. No brains required… the wallet does the thinking.

Tough times fall on the Singaporean voter only after the elections… (I’m not talking about increases in public transport fare and GST… though that is tough too…) What’s tough is, having conversations with friends… It usually goes lidat…

Voter: Ey fren, hi hi… long time no see… wassup?
Fren: Hi hi… election over liao hor?
Voter: Ya… sian, have to vote… no holiday.
Fren: Wah! You need to vote ah? I walkover, so no need. Who you vote ah?
Voter: My vote is secret.
Fren: Vote is secret ah… dat means you vote opposition lah!
Voter: …

Singapore Elections… the day after.

The elections are finally over, votes were counted lastnight. Our ruling party won. No surprises here… If they lose, stock market dip, I also jialat. Of course I want them to win. Congratulations to Singapore. Monday stock market sure go up.

Gahmen say they won by a strong mandate. They say one, so must be true lah… Of all votes polled, they won 66.6% (Number of the beast… uh… that’s not my issue lah…) .

Base on first world standards, I guess this is a strong mandate lor… assuming first world is the US of A. George Bush also never win by so much but he also say people give him a lot of political capital…

The claim of a strong mandate is puzzling me though… Because I believe it was said that the gahmen wanted a strong mandate and aim to win by 80%. If 80% is a strong mandate, then 66.6% is… uh… about 15% less than target… so mandate still strong meh? Go figure… I don’t understand.

The margin won in this election is less than the previous one. So, strong mandate meh?

They say cannot compare with last election, cos last time got terrorist attack in New York, so people scared… uh… New York? Singapore? I think very far apart right?

Ok, say people really scared kena bomb lah… so vote for continuity… then didn’t the terrorists just bombed Bali again last year?

So, people bomb New York, half a globe away, we scared, but bomb somewhere nearer like Bali we not scared… hmmm… strange logic, but gahmen say, so must be true lah.

Congratulations Singapore, congratulations.

With the election over, the law suits and arrests can finally begin…

May Day Bike Trip

A nice trip to Sungei Rengit via the old Pengerang coastal road.

Sure brings back memories. Back then, kids were waving and screaming hellos to us on our bicycles.

On this day, nothing much has changed. The kids are still waving and screaming hellos.

The roads have changed a bit but the familar sun burnt feeling after a ride is always a certainty. It is evidence of a weekend well spent.

Evidence you gladly take with you to work the next day.
