This is uh… nothing to to be surprised at, I guess. With that much press coverage in The Straits Times and all, you’re bound to stir the curiosity of many. What do you do when you are curious about something? You google it.
Since everyone is blogging about it, I figured, oh what the heck, I might as well take a shot at it too.
I’ve only one word for the action of this couple from NYP, STUPID. How many of us have lost a mobile phone before? I’ll bet a lot of you readers out there are nodding your head. I dare say, unless this is the first time she’s using a mobile phone, that she has lost a phone before too! So really. Stupid.
Having sex is okay, um… mostly ok. But to film it with a phone cam, OMG, OMFG!!!!
Having said that, this stupid action is really not worth her screwing up the rest of her life. By that, I mean dropping out of school. She should get her diploma and get on with life.
The recent publicity will die down. People will forget. Life will normalise. As the saying goes, time heals all wounds. Sure, the acronym NYP will never be the same again, a new phrase, like doing the Tammy would probably live on for a couple of years but y’know, it will disappear. I mean, how many of us remember what doing a Lewinsky is?
My advice to Tammy or whoever you are, be strong, get your diploma and minimise the effect this chapter will have in your life. It’s a stupid thing to do, but you’re still alive. Many others have done stupid things and paid with their lives. Some are holders of the Darwin Awards. Be glad that you do not qualify with this action.
As for the guy, he is a sick bastard! How can any self respecting guy allow this to happen? To allow the video to be film? There is no excuse for this. You are suppose to protect your woman, dude! This should never have happened.
Everyone is talking about the girl, but this is one guy who should be condemned.
Of course, if this is a publicity stunt for an upcoming porn flick as some blogs suggest, then all I can say is, “Here’s entrepreneurship at its best!”

After three visits to Bikehaus, I’ve bought it. I bought the Felt S32 bike.
Total damage: S$2180… Argh!!!!
Went to Bikehause thrice before making this decision… budget was raised three times… thought over it for three weeks. I guess I was psyched up enough to buy it without and regrets lah…
Which is probably why buyer’s remorse have not set in yet. Bet this will slowly set in over the next few weeks though…
Ran the bike in on saturday. Rode it to the office, then to Casuarina for lunch with FATA.
Went two rounds off the old F1 circuit and it was great! The seat post will have to be raised though… I prefer a higher riding position, but lets see how things go first.

You see, I was busy being cynical and all when suddenly, this song just starts playing in my head…
Yes, I guess the world will always welcome lovers as time goes by… not me, but generally, the rest of the world.
As far as I’m concerned, lovers can go elsewhere… but lets not spoil such a beautifully written song by Herman Hupfeld…
===
You must remember this
A kiss is just a kiss, a sigh is just a sigh.
The fundamental things apply
As time goes by.
And when two lovers woo
They still say, “I love you.”
On that you can rely
No matter what the future brings
As time goes by.
Moonlight and love songs
Never out of date.
Hearts full of passion
Jealousy and hate.
Woman needs man
And man must have his mate
That no one can deny.
It’s still the same old story
A fight for love and glory
A case of do or die.
The world will always welcome lovers
As time goes by.
Oh yes, the world will always welcome lovers
As time goes by.

First, they pretended that fries cooked in beef dripping is vegetarian.
Then, they bluff people that they are switching to trans fat free ingredients while secretly keeping to their traditionally trans fat loaded recipe.
They decided to settle the class action suit brought against them on this. Their excuse for not switching? Trans fat tastes better.
Not too long ago, they admit that their fries contain MORE trans fat than previously ‘thought’.
Now, after repeated denials, they reveal that wheat and dairy ingredients are used in the making of fries. The presence of these substances can cause allergic or other medical reactions in food-sensitive consumers.
McDonald’s had said until recently that its fries were free of gluten and milk or wheat allergens and safe to eat for those with dietary issues related to the consumption of dairy items. But the fast-food company quietly added “Contains wheat and milk ingredients” this month to the french fries listing on its Web site.
Now, do you still believe that they are serving healthy food?
McDonald’s just keep lying, and you know what? There’re lovin’ it.

Cheryl Fox and Bao Ying of Channel News Asia reports that Valentine’s Day is not just for couples…
Nooo…. of course not! How can Valentine’s Day be just for couples? That you greatly reduce the number of suckers merchants can fleece off!
Remember, Valentine’s Day is a day when everything is overpriced for no particular reason. Nobody really knows the real story behind this day anway, which makes it even more dubious.
It is just a day where the prices of flowers suddenly increase by 5 to 10 times. Where restaurants suddenly replace their usual menu with special ones that are more costly. So how can merchants leave these poor pathetic singles off their radar? Rope them in, tell them that they too can find an excuse to get ripped off.
